Ellen Clark is the Executive Director of Altered Tails Barnhart Clinic. Being in animal welfare before she moved to Phoenix led her to start with Altered Tails in early 2011 and has helped our clinic to grow exponentially. When she’s not busy splitting her time between the Phoenix and Mesa locations she enjoys hiking with her dog Milo (the best dog in the world) and spending time with Sophie & Lola (the best cats in the world).

Dr. Kellie Ayle is Altered Tails Director of Veterinary Services  and the main DVM in the Phoenix location. She has been providing spay and neuter services with us since June of 2012 (that amounts to THOUSANDS of spay and neuter surgeries done in Phoenix!). In her free time she enjoys Jeeping, target shooting, church and spending time with her family and the pets she has. Their household has 4 dogs (Olive, Riley, Cricket and Jill) and 3 cats (Petal, Fudge and Corbin). She is trying to learn guitar and can do a mean Spotted Owl call after spending a summer trying to save the Spotted Owl’s habitat in the Prescott National Forest.

Kaitlyn Wright is the Director of Operations at Altered Tails. After moving from Iowa to get away from the snow, she joined Altered Tails July of 2013. She enjoys swimming so much she considers herself part mermaid and in her free time enjoys working off leash with her dogs Jaxon and Luca and crossing things off her bucket list. In addition to the hours she spends working you can find her planning for her wedding with her fiancee Shane. She can’t wait to see what’s in store as she continues to grown with Altered Tails.

Justine is the Clinic Manager at Altered Tails Phoenix. She came to us in December of 2012 after years of grooming experience with dogs and cats. All together she has been working with dogs and cats for about 8 years. In her free time you can find her hiking, camping or swimming, possibly with her Heeler mix, Leroy or her ‘step-dogger’ Harley who is an english bulldog.

Angie is a Veterinary Technician at Altered Tails Phoenix. She has been with us since March of 2010, making her the longest standing employee around! She has a 5 year old chihuahua named Shippo and a 3 year old boxer mix named Hagi and 7 cats around the house. In her free time she loves to explore with her kids, geocache and have game nights with her friends. You can catch her on re-run episodes of “Animal Cops Phoenix” with her foster puppy Kiba from when she worked at the Arizona Humane Society.

Chelsea is one of the Phoenix locations administrative assistance and customer service pros. She’s always worked in animal welfare but she enjoys Altered Tails ability to help people get affordable spay and neuter services. When she’s not saving the world one dog at a time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and working out. Her ever growing menagerie includes 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 turtle, 3 ducks, and chickens coming soon. You may have seen her at riding competitions as she LOVES horses and rode Dressage for years. A fun fact about animals she knows is that in Arizona donkeys are not allowed to sleep in bathtubs.
