Meet Dr. Theresa House, our Mesa Clinic Veterinarian. Dr. House joined Altered Tails in June 2015 after 8 years in private practice.  She is originally from Minnesota and attended the U of M for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in public health and veterinary medicine.  She practiced in central Minnesota for several years before moving to sunny Arizona in early 2014 and loves her new home! Dr. House has also volunteered with the organization World Vets to provide spays and neuters to animals in underserved areas in other countries.  Thus far, she has performed surgeries in Ecuador, Suriname, Guatemala, and Peru. In her free time, she enjoys reading, embroidery, cooking, and ballroom dancing.   Dr. House has two dogs, a German Shepherd named Emma and a Pitbull named Conrad as well as a brand new baby girl.


This is Peter, Altered Tails’ Lead Veterinary Technician and Clinic Manager. Peter brings 12 years of experience to our team here at Altered Tails! When he is not at work, Peter is very involved in fostering and rescuing dogs but he also enjoys renovating his historic home and spending time with his large family. You can catch him on old re-runs of Animal Planet Hero’s-Phoenix or next time you are here at the clinic.


This is Sarah Altered Tails’ lead technician. Sarah came to Altered Tails as an extern after graduating from Pima Medical Institute and has been with us ever since. Sarah has traveled to North Carolina with the Altered Tails Team to get trained by ASPCA’s Humane Alliance National Spay Neuter Response Team. When Sarah is not at work, she is spending time with her family and her dogs.

Teresa is a Veterinary Technician here at Altered Tails with a background that includes working in an animal hospital with exotics. Teresa recently moved to the East Valley and when she is not here working at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, playing video games, and hanging out with her two cats.


Renee is one of the Receptionists here at Altered Tails. She has a wide range of customer service experience and loves working with animals. She is an Arizona native and resides in Gilbert with her husband and 2 Boxer dogs.


Roz is a Veterinary Technician here at Altered Tails who is working to gain experience before taking the exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician within the next year. Roz received her associates degree and possesses a background in full service veterinary medicine. When Roz is not at work, she is spending time with her 3-year old daughter, taking walks around her block and listening to music.
